Title: Insurance Commercial Account Executive (2 Positions)
Base Salary: 54k Base + Commission

JOB SUMMARY:
Incumbent has responsibility to develop new business relationships and secure policies of insurance with new customers as well as additional types of policies with existing customers, either on his/her own, or in conjunction with Account Executives from other domains within the company (e.g. Life & Health or Personal Lines). In addition, incumbent has responsibility to service and renew a book of Commercial business with an emphasis on maintenance of relationships and retention of policies.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: duties include:
Following the Company “Business Protection PlanTM” sales system, develop an assigned niche market(s), and identify prospective clients through referrals and other prospecting techniques;
Present business protection workshops to prospects and secure letters of engagement as the Broker of Record;
Develop submissions, for engaged clients, (in conjunction with Marketing Department) to markets that will meet present/emerging needs of the client;
Provide (or arrange for the provision of) value-added services designed to reduce the total cost of risk for the client;
Maintain active liaison with the client and awareness of the issues in the relevant industry(s);
In conjunction with the Account Manager, prepare annual reports to management for clients as their policy terms near renewal;
Arrange for presentation of renewal terms and/or re-marketing strategies to the client;
Record all client/prospect contact in the Activity section of the SigXp broker management system;
Actively participate in meetings of the Commercial Sales team;
Identify opportunities for, and facilitate the ability of, other members of the sales team to provide service or products into the client organization, such as policies for business principals, Directors or employees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
R.I.B.O. licensed
Minimum of three years general insurance sales
Good computer skills
